    SBCT – Poka Yoke Tool for MUBEA Popp hose clamps

    SBCT (Spring Band Clamp Tool) is used to loosen a special type of hose clamps, so-called resilient hose clamps. What makes Binar’s solution unique is that the tool is designed based on the concept of Poka-yoke (ポ カ ヨ ケ), which is a Japanese method of avoiding mistakes before they occur. This tool tells you when to fix a resilient hose clamp and ensures that you have fixed it. Smart huh?

    Quality assure the use of resilient hose clamps

    Resilient hose clamps used cooling, heating, servo, fuel, air in, for example, the car industry are constructed as open and pre-positioned on hoses. These hose clamps from MUBEA must be snapped to close. If the fitter misses this step, it can cause major problems and require expensive solutions later on.

    The tool ensures that the fitter has fixed POPP (Pre-Opened Pre-Positioned) Clamps, Spring Band Clamps, Constant Tension Band Hose Clamps.
