What is Andon?

Andon is a Lean manufacturing tool for detecting and addressing production issues in real time. Originating from Toyota, it uses visual and auditory alarms triggered by operators or equipment to summon help without leaving the workstation. Once addressed, issues are logged to support ongoing process improvements.
